This "cheater quilt" pattern uses my Shades of Grey palette. It is sized to make a crib-size quilt with a single yard, but can be used as blocks to build larger quilts. Two blocks can make a lap quilt; four will make a twin-size bed quilt. If you want a queen or king bed quilt, you will need 6 or 9 yards, respectively. Simply cut each yard separately, then sew them together in a grid pattern: 2 x 2, 2 x 3, or 3 x 3, ensuring the layout is 36 wide x 42 long per block. You may also wish to ensure the pattern is going in the same vertical direction for all blocks. (Note: the black stripes are meant to be the "top" of the long horizontal blocks. Feel free to make the white stripes the top, but be consistent") Once you have your large blocks sewn together, quilt however you wish! Enjoy!
