I've wanted to knit a temperature scarf, crochet a temperature afghan and design a temperature quilt for many years now, but I've never had the time. I finally decided to try a digital version in 2022, and with my Spoonflower fabric, I created a fantastic lap quilt from my digital temperature quilt segments. Now I've done it again for 2023 with new flakes, new crocheted snowflake photos and new quilt ideas! 2023 is done at last!!! That means I can create a pretty stunning quilt panel with a ton of variety and color. Featured are 768 of my own crochet snowflake designs, not a single repeat in the original 769-square panel! (Repeats do appear in the printed repeated fabric.) Yes, a 768-flake quilt panel to represent the entire year! Pretty awesome, huh? This is a daily labor of time, love and patience, designing, crocheting, stiffening, photographing each snowflake, then photographing stiffened each snowflake on a variety of colors, then digitally quilting the blocks to represent each day's high and low temperature. Almost as much time as it might take to hand applique in actual fiber!!! I cannot believe my 2023 digital snowflake quilt is finally complete!!!
