Having never encountered a hedgehog, I had to do a bit of research to find out their habitats and the origin of their name. Hedgehogs are named such as they are often found in hedgerows, and also due to a combination of their pig-like snout and their pig-like grunt. I've chosen the traditional hedge plant the hawthorn as the home for these little hedgehogs.
