I say that this design was "3 years in the making" because that's how long it took me to correct the colors to print reasonably closely to the design image you see on tuned monitors! Persistence pays off but I recommend testing with a swatch before investing in yardage, as the print will differ across different fabrics. Synthetics and wallpaper should print truest to the design image. Original: watercolors & oils, waratah motif after Lucien Henry. Designed as a half-drop repeat. Currently set @ Fabric: 600 ppi, Wallpaper: 450 ppi [ Was a w-i-p (color correcting) for a loong time - from creation in 2013. Current print file Aug 2016; Filename: v2-soft-lt-color-replaced-waratah-fabric-15-mid-blue // Color corrected (replaced) version of previously proofed in compilation swatch, a work-in-progress (top layer=soft light). Soft proof showed that the bright pink-red prints as dull orange. Previous version: the red in the paired waratahs turned out bright orange. Now there is more blue in that red. Proofed @ 600 ppi. ]
