pieces in a crazy quilt!
Sacrilege! Apparently someone got hold of the sixth doctor's costume - not just the coat, but also two vests, two bow ties, suspenders, pants and spats; buttons and badges! - and cut all of them apart to arrange them in a crazy quilt! This design is large - a repeat of 42 inches wide x 36 inches deep on fabric, 24.05x20.6 inches on wallpaper and 30.00 x 25.71 as wall decals. The fabrics, which I digitally re-created for this crazy quilt, are printed at their approximate correct size (and so is everything else) on fabric and a good bit smaller on wallpaper and decals. This design would, if actually sewn up as a crazy quilt, make a great gift for Whovians. Also, of course, it could be worked into clothing. If you order a swatch, you will get a preview of some of the more rare fabrics (which are the checkered collar, the chenille vest and the red/orange/purple moiré lining) - plus one of the cat silhouettes on imitated yellow felt print. You can easily check that by clicking the 'Swatch' radio button on the right. IMHO, that swatch would also make a nice gift if framed. In case you're not familiar with Spoonflower, this isn't really a crazy quilt made from a costume. It's just a print that looks like it is ;-) As for almost all my fabrics, I do recommend to order this design in either Cotton Poplin or Organic Cotton Sateen, since colors will print best on those two fabric types. If you're looking for any of the fabric designs that I re-created in order to be able to make the single parts of this crazy quilt, I'll be more than happy to set up a special order of either of them as seamless repeating yardage if you send me a message. Please also have a look at my other 'blue box' themed designs in the collection which I set up for them (http://www.spoonflower.com/collections/25045)!
