This version of my fabric has 1 vertical repeat and a little over 1 horizontal repeat on a yard of Organic Cotton Sateen Ultra. It is the perfect size to make a crib or lap quilt. Other types of cotton that are narrower will not have the full vertical repeat. Far over the Misty Mountains cold, To dungeons deep and caverns old, We must away, ere break of day, To seek our pale enchanted gold. I originally designed this fabric for a cheater quilt contest, but it tiles both vertically and horizontally. It is a two yard repeat with only slight changes on the second yard - Bilbo is returning to the Shire, rather than leaving. I put many details from the book into this fabric, so I recommend viewing the Imgur photo (https://imgur.com/A3NH9zO) at its largest setting so you don't miss anything. If you are intending to make a project, like a quilt, that requires sewing vertical panels together: the pattern is set to tile properly at the 56" width. If you buy 42" wide cloth, you will get around 1 1/3 horizontal repeats instead of 2. Vertical tiling is handled by Spoonflower.
