Rococo mantua skirt fabric, with an 'embroidered' look to the floral design. The Spoonflower preview for the two yards is utterly blurred. Please have a look at the 'Fat Quarter' and 'Swatch' size to see a less-blurred closeup of the design (because the design, if printed, is of course not blurred - that's just a problem of the Spoonflower preview)! The pattern repeat in height (along the length of the fabric!) is TWO yards (!); the width of the floral design is approximately 38 inches. I have another, way less 'busy' design (and with a less long repeat) in my Spoonflower shophere (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/1419573), in case you prefer a 'less' crowded version of that type of fabric. In case you'd like to order a swatch, I recommend ordering a Fat Quarter instead - the design is so large that a swatch sized piece of fabric will only show you a fraction of the border; while a Fat Quarter will at least show some of the flowers in the design. To make an actual court mantua, you will need at LEAST four yards for the skirt (then again that depends on the size of your court-sized pannier - actually, for a large court pannier, it would be closer to six yards!); and probably another three yards for the train and the bodice. Like with almost all my other fabrics, I recommend ordering this design in either Organic Cotton Sateen or Cotton Poplin or - if you desire a more shiny look - the Cotton Silk, since colors will print brightest on those fabric types. Also, the Organic Cotton Sateen is widest, so you get a lot of 'plain' colored design for the parts of the Mantua bodice that aren't embroidered. If you were always wondering how different colors print on the various fabrics that Spoonflower offers, please do have a look at my website where I have quite a few comprehensive photos of color swatches printed on various fabrics!
