THANK you to all who voted, faved and commented! Printed beautifully on basic cotton, with all the tiny elements and small color differences clear and distinct - as shown in the thumbnails (double click for a clearer view). My inspiration was the recent reporting of a community of lizards in the Caribbean, preserved for 20 million years in amber, and identical to their modern cousins [‘Ancient lizards in amber amaze scientists’ by Stuart Gary, ABC Science]. (https://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2015/07/28/4279562.htm) Along the way I learned that lizards - which include geckos - have five fingers or toes, while newts have four.
