for dramatic display.
One-inch scale, 1:12 , recognizing that modern art is sometimes large. You can fold or cut wherever you need to. Stretch over frames/blocks, and staple/tape/glue in back. To preserve long-term, keep fabric from touching acid in wood/paper... seal with polyurethane, primer, gesso, gel medium first. Or place fabric/felt/foam behind image. If you'd like the surface to look like canvas, remember scale. Canvas will be too bumpy for tiny details in miniature. -Petal cotton has similar surface, -Chiffon is easy to work with and might show your surface color through a bit. -Crepe de chine should be wrapped tight enough that it will not drape. -Poplin is opaque and crisp. If a painting needs to be cropped to fit a dollhouse or diorama space, just look at image balance, wrap, then paint sides with black or white. (c) CRL, all rights reserved.
