On July 12, 2014, I attended a seminar in Kelso Washington that took place inside a quilt shop. During that seminar the owner of the store requested that I create some (well, for now, just this one) of my designs in large scale so that they would fill a fat quarter with no repeat and could be made a central focus of a quilt. I have my doubts that a design I hand drew in a 7 by 7 inch size would look anything but sloppy kindergarten awful in a huge size. But what the heck? So this is a drawing I did on July 15, 2014, that I scanned at 300 dpi with the intention of making the fabric view fill a fat quarter. For now the wallpaper, decal, and gift wrap views are in a still huge (but smaller than 22 inch) scale, but they do repeat. As I said, this is an experiment. If people like it, I will make more frames where the fabric is a huge size. If it does end up looking kindergarten sloppy, there will never be more than this one, and the wallpaper, decal, and gift wrap sizes will be made very small. (file D144BIG, #539435)
