A single yard of Silky Faille at 150 DPI was used to create a patterned obi for our furisode kimono for DragonCon 2016. The original pattern is meant to evoke the new floor pattern of one of the DragonCon host hotels, and provides a nice contrast to the circle pattern used in the furisode kimono. The one yard was cut into 3 pieces and sewn together to create one 160" long piece backed by a stiff brown fabric.
