I thought a crescent moon would be a beautiful moon-phase to be the centre-piece of the design, but felt it needed a black and white cow to leap over it, as in the nursery rhyme 'The cow jumped over the moon'. When I worked on this we had just celebrated Bonfire Night in the UK with lots of fireworks shooting into the sky, so I must have just got carried away...
