One of my favorite cookies, which I only tried for the first time recently, is the French macaron. I love the endless possibilities of flavors and color combinations. Also, being a Celiac, it's great that these little cookie sandwiches are traditionally made with gluten-free almond flour! I made this print for the Pop Art Cookies contest. I was inspired by Roy Lichtenstein's style of Pop Art, which is based off comic strip art. These macarons are colored with ben-day dots and bright Pop Art colors.
