the Ottoman Empire. Designed for SCA garb.
Inspiration for this design was from the open source Turkish Cultural Foundation and can been viewed here: http://www.turkishculture.org/textile-arts/fabrics-and-textiles-67.htm I have created an alternate colour to the original based on natural colours available to textile makers of the time. The original fabric sample was velvet, and likely coloured with kermis red and gold. Try spoonflower's satin fabric for added lustre to make a kaftan or some of the heavier canvases for accessories such as cushions and other decor. This design version has light texturing to imitate a more natural look. If you would like this design in block colours without the texturing please message me. I can also alter colours to suit your project.
