subtle cream background.
Back when Tucson was just a dream, I painted a monochromatic watercolor study of a Santa Rita prickly pear cactus while daydreaming of the day we’d live amongst the cacti. The naturally occurring heart-shaped paddles are a beautiful part of the desert scenery. The original painting simply called Heart Cactus has been a best seller as an art print both with locals to Tucson as well as visitors, and the color of this pattern is very close to the original painting. Watercolor is seen in a lot of my artwork, and I wanted to incorporate the look of watercolor in this mini collection as a nod to my roots as a fine artist. As wallpaper, this pattern looks gorgeous in a kitchen or bathroom on an accent wall or in a baby's desert boho nursery as a backdrop for the crib. Talk about a photo op ready room!
