This pattern was inspired by the Wiener Werkstatte, a group of Austrian artisans who manufactured their own textiles in the early part of the 20th century. These artists created incredibly unique designs through experimentation. I attempted to keep the idea of experimentation in my mind while I worked on creating this piece. Whenever I started to doubt myself or to think some part of the design was bizarre, I tried to go with that idea instead of shying away from it.
