I've been in love with the aptly named Hercules ever since one first landed in the small town where I grew up, on a humanitarian mission after severe flooding cut off road transport. Would the runway be long enough? Strong enough? Once it had landed, would it ever be able to take off again? Although I didn't know it then, a feature of the Hercules is that they can use "unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings" (according to Wikipedia).
