I drew these eyes taking inspiration from the divine comedy. . They are the eyes of Caronte but also…

the eyes of the damned.

More precisely I was inspired by the singing of the divine comedy in which the fiery eyes of Charon are mentioned: "Caron dimonio, con occhi di bragia, loro accennando, tutte le raccoglie; batte col remo qualunque s'adagia. These eyes are angry, demonic, evil. I drew this pattern entirely by hand using chlorinated pencils but above all the black color. Instead I painted the flames using watercolors.
