Once assembled, you can slip the filled pillow into the slipcover under the mama dragon's wing.
Directions (also printed on the fabric): Cut out pieces 1 and 2 along the teal dotted lines. Stitch them together face to face, leaving a small opening. Turn the pillow right side out and fill it with dried beans, corn, or rice. Hand stitch the opening closed. Piece 3 should be cut in two sections. First cut the whole piece from the fabric along the teal dotted lines, then cut the two pieces apart along the outer border of the illustrated frayed edge. Using small sharp scissors, make little snips in the frayed borders up to the red stitch line. Fold the frayed border over along the red stitch line and stitch it to form a hem on both pieces 3a and 3b. Place piece 3a over piece 3b so that it overlaps just slightly and forms a complete oval. Pin these pieces at the overlap. Cut out piece 4 along the teal dotted lines. Place piece 4 face down onto the pinned together piece 3, making sure both pieces are facing each other. Stitch all around the pieces. Turn the slipcover right side out through the overlapping flap. Slip the grain filled pillow into the slipcover through the flap. To use: microwave for 30 seconds at a time, checking to make sure it's not too hot. Remove the pillow insert when you need to wash the slipcover.
