a white backdrop.
Inspiration for this piece came from many places. My seven-year-old daughter Sonja has always loved blueberries so much that any time we travel and they are affordable, we make sure to get a large supply. This summer we had the great pleasure of picking and eating fresh blueberries at a farm which was definitely a highlight of our trip to Arcata, California where I grew up. It was there that I first noticed how absolutely beautiful blueberries are as they grow. We tend to think of them as just blue, but prior to becoming blue they go through a beautiful transition from green to pink, to darker pink and some even turn out looking quite purple. In this piece I tried to capture all of these transitions of color. I’d love to see what you create with this fabric!
Note: The detail work in these blueberries include the following colors: burgundy, red, mustard, teal and black. If you are looking for additional sizes or coordinating fabrics you can check out the other patterns and solids in my full Berry Collection which all use the same pallet and were designed to go together. Hope you have fun designing and I’d LOVE to see what you create with this fabric!
Ideal for home/garden decor/upholstery, clothing, costuming, quilting and other fun projects.
