bread, cheese and vegetables to keep them fresh.
Beeswax wraps are washable and can be used again and again. Clean them with cold water and gentle soap as necessary, but we usually just rinse them in water and hang them up to dry. When the wax wears out, the wraps can be re-infused. What you need: 1. a pair of pinking shears 2. beeswax, e.g. beeswax candle (if possible 100%) 3. kitchen grater 4. 2 sheets baking paper 5. iron That's the way it works: 1. Cut or tear out the 3 squares along the mark. Use a pair of pinking shears for cutting. 2. Grate beeswax on a kitchen grater into small pieces. 3. Place a cut out fabric square on a sheet of baking paper. Spread some wax crumbs evenly on the fabric. 4. Place another sheet of baking paper on top and iron the wax into the fabric at medium temperature. 5. Make sure that the wax is evenly absorbed into the fabric. Spread as much wax as needed and iron again until the fabric is saturated with wax.
