This design fits a fat quarter. Click on the yard view to see the repeat of this lively print. When contemplating an umbrella design, I found myself imagining a lively jewel toned Victorian scene with various ways to use the umbrella motif. It could be a lamp, a chandelier, an upside bowl for kitty's milk or the shape of a bird cage. Unfortunately, the viewing options here don't show the detail...like the cats paw being bit by the duck umbrella handle....or the mouse sunning herself under the lamp. The two orange tabby's are my sweet Skippy & Tigger, who have been gone many years now. That's me (sans wrinkles) in the portrait. Okay, yes I got carried away! But it was so much fun. :-) Thank you for viewing and happy sewing! ***Update - Satin fat quarter received. Oh my goodness is the Satin gorgeous!!! The colors and detail are exactly as on screen and I dare say....it really comes to life on fabric. The glowing light from the lamp is even there. I'm going to sew a pillow case and use the purple rain pattern on the reverse. Photo coming soon!
