This original painting is from my Spectrum collection featuring a wide array of flora and fauna composed in a rainbow heart. At the center is a white octopus nested in pastel flowers radiating out into saturated darker colors ranging from Yellow to tangerine,orange, red, crimson, pink, purple, violet, gray, black, indigo, Ultramarine, blue, teal, turquoise, emerald green, spring green, Chartreuse, and lemon. This painting features fruit, flowers, praying mantis, snails, seahorses, coral, tropical fish, orchids, ranunculus, Iris, sea urchin, ginger flower, butterflies and moths, monstera plant, fern, hummingbirds, delphinium, hyacinth, quetzal bird, iridescent beetles, peacock feathers Spears, Mushrooms and fungi, dusty Miller, beta fish, succulents, fuchsia, Axolotl, highlighter chameleon, poison dart frogs, gecko, roses, morning Glory, grapes, blueberries, currants, muscari, bee, caterpillars, a chrysalis, calls lillies, a black bat flower, and a baby gorilla. It is inspired by scientific illustration such as the work of Ernst Haeckel and Audubon and the Dutch floral still life masters. This collection is also a meditation on neurodivergent phenomenology of color as part of my doctoral thesis on Autistic visual stimming.
