1952 Studebaker Commander Land Crusier Placemats byedsel2084

I came to Spoonflower because I wanted to have fabric featuring my 1960 Edsel to wear to car shows and places when I was with the car. I drew other Edsels, and Studebakers, Crosleys and Hudsons. But somehow I never drew my own 1952 Studebaker Land Cruiser. On Christmas Eve 2016 I decided that oversight was not excusable. The reason I drew 1950 and 1951, and 1953 Studebakers without a 1952, is that is not a popular year for collectors. But 1960 is not a popular year for Edsels either, yet that did not stop me from drawing it. 1952 is the 100th anniversary model of the Studebaker--and a car they didn't really want to build the way they did. They wanted to build the 1953 for the 100th year of Studebaker. Lack of money, and sales made them re-skin bits of the 1947-1951 car instead. (My shop manual for the 1952 is a 1951 manual with a few pages tacked on the end for my different grille and tail lights). So here are two V8 1952 Studebakers, a Commander in burgundy, and a Land Cruiser in green. Bizarrely I have a Land Cruiser in burgundy. So why didn't I make my car in my color? Truthfully, I thought my car's color looked artistically better on the more front facing sedan. (file QQ108d-ch, #6029190)
