mothers would fold their handkerchiefs into dolls t
Handkerchief dolls have a history going at least as far back as American frontier days. It is said mothers would fold their handkerchiefs into dolls to entertain their children during church services. This design printed on one yard of 42" wide fabric will give you six 14" handkerchiefs reprenting (not exact copies of) tradional fabrics and/or dress styles from six different countries or areas of six continents (Greenland, Peru, Portugal, Western Africa, Japan and New Zealand). The handkerchiefs can be folded into dolls using instructions found at http://desertspor.blogspot.com/p/dolls.html
