Giant Design Sampler, 9" blocks Cocktail Napkins byweavingmajor

A little bit of everything, in nine-inch squares! Search for 'kcheaterquilt' to see my other cheater quilt / sampler designs. A customer is making tote bags for foster-care kids who have nothing, and using Spoonflower fabric for patch-pockets. She chose the 16 designs on the left from my files; I chose the 8 on the right so that anyone wanting wider fabrics would have even more options. NOTE that some of the designs may be scaled slightly smaller than their corresponding fabrics, to work better as a patch-pocket. 40-42" fabrics (basic, Kona, poplin and the silks) will have 16 nine-inch squares and some half-squares. 54" fabrics or wider (linen-cotton canvas, twill, cotton sateen and the synthetics) will have 24 nine-inch squares and possibly a little bit of the next row. For pockets, I'd recommend either the Poplin ($1.25 per 9" square) or the heavier linen-cotton canvas ($1.12 per 9" square). For a quilt, the Kona has the nicest feel, but the colors are brightest on the Basic Cotton Ultra... Interested in a custom set of swatches?
