This design is a tessellation of T-shirts or short-sleeved tops in symmetry group p2mg. Currently displaying a version in simple black and white - ready for any pattern or slogan you might like. The minimum map colouring for this tessellation is 3, which triples the unit cell size and mostly destroys the underlying symmetry (leaving just the glide reflection). An alternative colouring is 2 - which merely doubles the unit cell size. An alternative symmetry aligns the flat tops along another mirror line - doubling the unit cell into c2mm.
