Detailed illustrated repeating pattern for the 'Large Birds' Design Challenge. The design features some of the great large birds in the United States, including flamingos, great blue herons, egrets, and sandhill cranes. The design in meant to give the feel of some of the birds in their native habitats, such as in the water in marshy areas surrounded by tall grasses and cattails, or in flight high in the sky against the setting sun. All of the birds where drawn first as vector artwork, and then final details were added in Photoshop.
