Channeling its inspiration from items made in the second decade of the 20th century (particularly an embroidered table cloth my mother had in exactly these colors) this whack job variation on a plaid combines ornamental serving platters, curvy horizontal lines, diagonally oriented squares, stylized palm trees that could be pineapples if you wanted, and fine scale twisting tendrils into an I-don't-know-what horizontal stripe with those plaid tendencies.
Nothing concrete in here. It is just a design.
