snaps with tabs. Easy quick sew of 1970s phone, flower
Instructions: Ignore step four on the instructions printed on project unless you want to make the inside of flap a hole for doggies bags or napkins. ************************************** Note: the bag has a bottom opening in the flap for keeping tissue or something light or you can sew close after you turn it all inside out. Plus the large pocket in bottom, I sometimes put a pocket inside that area or on the outside of that area on back and front. You decide which you want! steps: 1.You will begin by ironing a small hem under all around each pocket. 2. Only stitch the top of each with decorate stitch or reg. Then sew them where ever you want. One to front bottom area. One on back of bag.Or I sometimes put one inside the bag which is the wrong side of back. 3. back is one full piece which includes flap top. 4. Front is two pieces. Top is your front fold over part. Bottom is back of bag. Fold under and stitch C&D. 5. Sew bottom front to back. Leaving room for tabs for D rings in center. I sew these onto the wrong side of single piece . 6. Cut out all solid lined strips. Join (sew)two wider pieces in one long strip. Iron these into a 3fold strip. Stitch down .7. Make two small tabs, by cutting off 2” on the thinner strip after folding and stitching. (X2 )one for each side. to hold two D rings to side of bag. Stitch with D ring to area marked “tabs”. 8. The snaps will be sewn on the strap ends. You can watch the dog walking bags video at link right directly under my photo on my main page here on Spoonflower called Blog or email me for questions. ;-) PS, you can easily make this a dog walking bag by inserting a grommet on the front flap to put doggie bags to pull out or just leave as a walking bag! It is fun to use scrap materials laying around to line pockets if you like too. ;-)
