this design. The longest roots for erosion control
My dad was raised on farms and ranches. Had them himself. His dads parents came from wales and England and were ranchers and farmers. The land needs caretakers. Soil can be depleted by constantly growing things. Every 7th year the land was to rest. A cover crop to prevent erosion and to provide the soil with nutrients could be things like grasses, and even wheat. Most of it would be tilled back into the soil to provide food for the soil. With wheat you could give as grain to live stock and the stalks tilled in. Dad never used Switch grass. With such long roots I think this is best for banks not to erode. Not fields. I did add some flowers for design element in with the wheat and switch Grass as well as seeds. NOTE: this design is great as wall paper and dress pattern for nice flow of action.
