Odette is the Swan Queen who was once a princess. She had a spell cast on her by a sorcerer which turned her into a swan trapped in a lake by a castle and she only takes human form at night under the moon. Odette can only break the spell if she finds eternal love. She soon finds love from a prince but he is tricked by the sorceror's daughter Odile, the Black Swan, disguised as Odette to pledge his love to the wrong woman. Odette is then bound by the spell forever but forgives the prince for his mistake.
