This design is a combination of two forms of cubism: analytical and synthetic. I stared at our cats Zippy and Zappy and concluded that they are formed, when sitting upright, of triangles, (except for their legs) –– thus the design features two cats composed of triangles. Then I added color (synthetic cubism). Technically, though, synthetic cubism is the addition of paper and other materials to the artwork so I'm fudging that a little bit. A simplistic definition for a complicated art form, one that when first introduced, disturbed the traditional art world.
