seamless surface design.
Just ask if you prefer this design in another size. This is a revision of my original entry for Spoonflower's Quiet Spaces challenge of June 2020. On a very personal level it fits the theme for several reasons. First of all, I have found lilacs endlessly fascinating since I was a small child. I remember fondly the lilac hedge that stretched from the back alley all the way up to the front sidewalk. We also had two large lilac bushes in the middle of the back yard, close to the garden. Every spring I would look forward to their bloom! I clearly remember their alluring fragrance and I have a vivid memory of being totally under their spell one day. I was amazed by the delicate intricacy of even one tiny bloom and studied it for a long time. Secondly, as an artist, I become totally lost in a soothing peaceful space when working on the original painting due to my lifelong love affair with the lilacs. I could enjoy this design in so many ways. I'd love using it as tea towels, a tablecloth and napkins, or place mats. I would thoroughly enjoy wrapping myself in it as a Minky throw blanket. It would also be nice for an accent wall, or for papering a small alcove where I could snuggle up with a good book. In a small size I would use if for a summer blouse or a chiffon scarf. When the collection is complete it will contain multiple sizes of this design as well as various coordinates. If you need something else now, please ask!
