Gaff-rigged skiffs, racing. I've been fascinated by the shape of these boats ever since I saw one in a 1930s picture on the brag wall of the Sydney Flying Squadron (Australia's oldest open boat sailing club). Modern racing skiffs are a wonderful sight on Sydney Harbour - looking like a flight of water-borne butterflies.
