This design is a tessellation (in plane group cm) of modern fighter aircraft emblazoned with mod circle RAF symbols. The only symmetry operation beyond translations are mirror reflections which run diagonally through the primitive unit cell - which is therefore usually regarded as being a centred cell. Currently displaying a plain black and white version. The minimum number of colours required to ensure that no motifs of the same colour are touching is 3 (ie each motif is secretly a hexagon).
