This design was from an acrylic painting I created. The theme was inspired by a design challenge
from my art group to create an image of canyons.
I got inspired by Joni Mitchell's song, "Ladies of the Canyon", as my art group said they could be canyons in Southern California. They also said they could be fantasy places. So I created the goddess blessing the land below, her hair has the sun and becomes the clouds. She is holding up her clothing, which is the landscape. The ladies are the goddess, the cats, and flowers, the the people in the little village.
