Personally, I would enjoy using this fabric as an elegant vest or jacket. I can also see it as drapes, a throw blanket or a duvet cover. It could also be a lot of fun for quilting! My sister says this mirrored version should be a Persian rug! I really like it as wallpaper. One of my favorite ways of creating a design is by digitally recycling one of my paintings. This piece is therefore "mixed media" in a fairly unusual sense. It began life as a digital photograph taken with my phone. This became the reference photo for an acrylic painting which I titled "Symphony of Branches." Through various digital manipulations it then gradually evolved into this design. I simply play around with colors and shapes until they begin to evolve into an entirely new entity. In this case I began to get excited when I started seeing a variety of animals that amused me. I began to see a swirling, surreal hullabaloo with comical figures that made me laugh out loud. Depending on where I focus, and from what direction I view this design, I see a horse and rider, a happy little tiger, a chubby little bird, a wise old owl, a playful monkey, etc. In other words, it is an example of pareidolia art. I'm sure it won't surprise you to know that I'm one of those people who is always looking for pictures in the clouds! Though one who looks closely will see all sorts of fanciful creatures emerging from this marbled hullabaloo, others will simply enjoy the elegant, gilded details as the overall effect has a very baroque feel to it.
