With their beautiful russet fur , tufted ears and twitchy tail a red squirrel is a rare sight to behold in the UK. Autumn(fall) is a great time to see them as they forage for nuts. In England Red Squirrels only now survive on the Isle of Wight and Brownsea Island. The Privet Hawk Moth is the UK's largest resident Hawk-moth. I have played with their colours to make them more appealing. I originally painted this red squirrel with watercolour in memory of my sister.
