Art nouveau mirrored paisley gardens are my favorite things--right up there with lobster dinner, and my Edsel car. My mother was Mrs Sewandsew, and took me with her, when she went fabric shopping, when I was so small that I could fit in the seat of a shopping cart. I thought these trips were cosmically boring. But when she pulled the cart up to busy, art nouveau designs such as paisley, I was fascinated by the design. I especially wondered at mirror repeats (which, of course, I had no concept of, yet). So this will score badly in contest voting. Cute puppies and kittens will do better. But they are a favorite thing of mine. (file bb99e3sz #14043178)
