This entire original closeup photo was sized to be an 18” x 21” fat quarter (42” width fabric). When a wider width of material is ordered, the design is mirrored and rotated which creates a kaleidoscope pattern. The trim and edges of doors from the car add hard lines in unexpected shapes. When one yard is seen at the full 42” wide, there is a big diamond pattern with wavy lines on either side. If a fabric wider than 42” is chosen, the pattern will continue to repeat – possibly to have another half diamond on the right depending on size. This means that the pattern is not centered on the fabric. Please contact me to have the pattern sized for widths other than 42” and you want the pattern centered. Also, the pattern could go much smaller, which would make rows of diamonds and wavy lines. Note: in order to get the kaleidoscope repeat, the top left fat quarter (in the display area) is rotated upside down. If you were to order a single fat quarter AND a full yard, the fat quarter is the BOTTOM left panel not the top left. This causes some of the images to look backwards. My designs are meant to be abstract rather than realistic, so this may further obscure the components of the old car. This design is similar to several others in the collection - they are just different crops of the same image which makes a different pattern in the repeat.
