About this design:
What a great bunch of fabric designs we saw for this contest! Who knew root vegetables would make such inspired textile designs? We are excited to announce that the winner is Tamara Serrao, the Montreal-based designer known on Spoonflower as Kayajoy. This is Tamara's fourth win and it's fun looking back through her previous triumphs in the sharks, rain and imaginary animals contests. They're all great. Details
This contest is for fabric designs using root vegetables (turnips, carrots, potatoes, parsnips, beets and the like). Entry should be a repeating design and preview will be sized at a quarter yard of quilting-weight cotton (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

- Designs will be viewed as a Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
