About this design:
This week we lost an amazing earthling in music, but now there's finally life on Mars. David Bowie inspired generations with his music, art, performances, fashion, ideas, and his massively successful career as a multi-talented artist. We'll miss this space oddity and we hope to pay tribute to David Bowie with this week's Rock and Roll contest! Congratulations to Oliveandruby for her winning design, "Music blocks," and please give it up for the entire top ten!

Rock and Roll has changed the musical landscape in the past 70 years, and inspired debates and protests alike. Whether you're a rhythm and blues purist, or a modern rock lover, rock and roll probably has a place in your music library. So, show us! Get creative with original depictions of your favorite artists, eras, or just something that demonstrates that rock and roll vibe. We're excited to see what you come up with! Please note that design previews will be sized on a fat quarter size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, January 5th, 2016. Voting will open Thursday, January 7th, 2016.

- Designs will be viewed as a Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
