About this design:
We had 280 entries in the retro-kitchen fabric design contest, which required participants to use a restricted palette of colors. The top ten are a coordinated bundle of awesome, but the top vote-getter is the amazing "Spoons" by UK designer Alex Morgan. The entire field this week was lovely. Congratulations to the top ten! Details
The theme of this contest is kitchen-related fabric designs in a retro-style, but limited to the use of four, pre-selected colors: #e3a933, #e60040, #d8cd95, and #5a4a42. While designers in this contest are allowed to use white as a 5th color, they may not use black. Gradients and partial screens may also be disqualified. This is a contest that will be difficult for non-digital artists to enter, but don't worry -- we'll have another hand-drawn design contest soon. Entries will be previewed at the scale of a fat quarter (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

- Designs will be viewed as a Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
