About this design:
The winner of our contest to fit a pattern for a hanging ornament onto a single swatch-sized piece of fabric is Australian artist Julie Lynch, who won our roller derby competition just a few weeks ago. Julie's Festive Birds Hanging Ornament actually includes a quarter-yard's worth of patterns in addition to the swatch-sized bird pictured on the upper left above. Details
This contest is for a cut & sew pattern to make a hanging ornament that fits on an 8" x 8" swatch of fabric. Entry should include instructions if possible. Fit pattern to a swatch. Preview will be sized at 8 inches by 8 inches. Deadline for entry is Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

- Designs will be viewed as a Swatch of Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
