About this design:
Our Film Noir Design Challenge was full of fresh takes on classic icons from the most intriguing film genre. Prepare to be dazzled by the grit of our great finalists. Designer Zapi captures the scene in a nutshell in the description of her winning fabric Crime & Love: "Cigarette smoke, guns, fatal women, police agents, corruptions, noble heroes and a lot more in this little city full of eyes."

This week we're asking for designers to create patterns inspired by Film Noir, a genre of Hollywood crime dramas. All designs submitted must use a restricted palette (visible here). Previews will be shown at the fat quarter fabric size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, November 5th, 2013.

- Designs will be viewed as a Fabric on the voting ballot. Acceptable repeat options for this challenge are Basic, Half-Drop, Half-Brick, Mirror, Center.
- Designs previously uploaded on Spoonflower.com are not eligible for this contest. Designs do not require printed proofing to enter the contest.
- The popular vote determines the top 10 winning designs. Voters include Spoonflower artists and customers as well as the public.
