The Winner
About this design:
If you're like most people, the fierce sentiments on display during the US election season can get, well, a bit tiring. What better way to take a break from politics than to throw a bunch of donkeys and elephants together on fabric for another cheerful Spoonflower design contest? The winner of our election is as bipartisan a fabric as you'll find: "Left and Right" by the talented New York designer Ottomanbrim.
Details
Here in the US we're in the midst of an election season, with our two primary political parties locked in what seems like mortal combat. Like every other group of sane people, those of us here at Spoonflower sometimes ask ourselves why, oh why, can't we all just get along? So in the interest of bringing a little healing to our nation's fabric, we're asking designers literally to bring together donkeys (the symbol of the Democrats) and elephants (the symbol of the Republicans) on fabric. Simple enough, right? We'll hold our own election to find out who wins. Entries will be previewed at the scale of a fat quarter (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.
