Living in Africa, one of my dream jobs was Game Ranger ! My dad, who played cricket for South Africa had a cricket crazy friend who ran a camp in a game park the size of Wales. He had a cricket pitch built out into the bush where many nervous matches were held. There is nothing like huge lion paw prints in the mud at the edge of the field or circling vultures nearby to keep you on your toes when fielding at the boundary's edge ! This is where my passion for wildlife began and the memories of those holidays are still thrilling. Extinct is Forever.....and every time we lose something to extinction our humanity is diminished...the list is long... the numbers a handful in some cases....wildlife is all around us...we just have to take a quiet moment and it reveals itself in priceless rewarding ways. This collection highlights just the plight of one magnificent beast.....
