Cean Irminger -- the designer from Machipongo, Virginia who has won four previous Fabric Of the Week contests -- has now won her fifth challenge, which ties her once again with Spoonflower's other textile design dynamo, SammyK. Cean's border print, titled 'The Firebird (A Russian Folk Tale)' came out on top this week, and the word around the Spoonflower office is that it is would make a fine pair of yoga pants. This week we're celebrating our communities by sharing scenes from our neighborhoods: the architecture, the people, or the flora and fauna. Designs should be black and white only and done in a hand-drawn style (although digital manipulation is fair game). Take a walk with your sketchbook, draw some doodles, and share! Previews will be sized as quarter yards (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, August 26th, 2014.
