In my commissioned portrait work, I've always been considered a Romantic Realist. I adore the countryside near my home and lovely feminine frocks. Elegance for common folks, like me! Though sometimes life knocks all of us around, the peaceful, pretty parts of life are also true. While I already had pastel portraits and oil-painted curving tulips, putting a design together was a complex endeavor. The toddler girl comes from my pastel art named "Sisterly Love." The girl in the swing comes from "The Happy Swing at Grandma's House." The tulip border comes from "Daisies, Roses, and Tulips."
